IN THIS TEACHING

In Kundalini Intensive #3, Mark Griffin presents a profound exploration of kundalini as Guru Shakti — the awakened current of Mahashakti transmitted through lineage grace to produce equilibrium, purification, and accelerated spiritual transformation. The teaching reframes kundalini not as localized energy but as the living power of universal consciousness expressing through prana, mantra, and the subtle architecture of the human form.

Griffin distinguishes between the Guru of Cause — the primordial union of Shiva and Shakti — and the personal guru who functions as a regulating transformer, allowing vast universal force to safely enter the practitioner through shaktipat. Through rhythmic breath and the spontaneous vibration of SoHam, ascending and descending currents begin operating simultaneously, opening the sushumna and drawing awareness into the innermost stream of being. As this process unfolds, chakras, nadis, and the four bodies are progressively activated, while the mind naturally quiets and meditative absorption deepens.

A central theme of the Intensive is the dissolution of samskaric conditioning. Karmic impressions are described as subtle psychic nodes embedded throughout the subtle body, generating mental activity and reinforcing the reflex of separate identity. As Guru Shakti moves through the system, these impressions are neutralized and reduced to equilibrium, liberating psychic energy and revealing the innate luminosity of consciousness. Awakening is therefore presented not as a product of willpower alone, but as a cooperative process of surrender, receptivity, and alignment with grace.

Griffin further describes the spiral structure of the sushumna and the progressive stabilization of consciousness in the fourth body — a state characterized by stillness, emptiness, and universality. Through disciplined practice, conservation of vital energy, cultivation of bodhicitta, and continuous connection to Guru Shakti, practitioners learn to navigate the simultaneous ascent and descent of kundalini. The culmination of this process is the cessation of karmic momentum, the stopping of the mind, and entry into deeper samadhi states. Ultimately, Kundalini Intensive #3 presents awakening as the harmonization of Shiva and Shakti within the human system, revealing the intrinsic unity of self, consciousness, and creation.
