"Shiva is the principle of centrifugal dispersion. Everything is spinning out from the center, being spread from any given point, diffuse [in] the center. In this given time, in this given place, the energy of Shiva, this idea of centrifugal dispersion, is the predominant energy here in this world system."
Meditation Master Mark Griffin
Centrifugal Dispersion presents an intensive teaching on Shaktipat as a wrathful form of awakening in which the force of Shiva enters the human system as a current of penetrating transformation. In this discourse, Mark Griffin explains how spiritual transmission operates through the architecture of the three worlds—physical, subtle energetic, and mental—and their corresponding four bodies within the human form. The Intensive is framed as an induction of awakened light into the “egg” of being, setting in motion a profound process of purification and acceleration through the descent of grace.
A central theme of the teaching is Shiva as the principle of centrifugal dispersion. Griffin describes this energy as a force that penetrates the layers of waking, dream, subconscious, and deep unconsciousness, dispersing all that it touches until only pure consciousness without quality remains. In this sense, wrathful energy is not violent in an ordinary sense, but spiritually incisive: it breaks through karmic structures, subconscious residues, and the accumulated patterns of body, energy, and mind that bind awareness to conditioned experience. Shaktipat is presented as the practical mechanism of this process, introducing even a single seed of awakened force into the system and allowing it to revolutionize the entire field of being.
The teaching also provides a detailed map of meditation practice. Griffin emphasizes the diamond-scepter or lightning-rod structure of ida, pingala, and sushumna, showing how the inward and outward movement of the bellows breath, together with the spontaneous mantra SoHam, conduct awakened energy through the central channel. As the breath descends and rises, the thunderbolt of grace is drawn through the sushumna, arousing kundalini, intensifying inner gravity, and concentrating consciousness with increasing power. The practitioner learns to work directly with the hard-wired potential of the human form, using breath, concentration, and continuity of attention as means of transmuting consciousness from ordinary conditioned awareness into awakened capacity.
A further dimension of the Intensive is its integration with Guru Yoga. In the concluding phase, Griffin directs attention to the subtle seat of the Guru at the crown of the head, where the descending current of grace enters the body and links directly with the heart. In this way, the practice culminates not only in energetic intensification, but in devotional union: the force of awakening is sealed through meditation on the Guru principle as the living source of Shaktipat, transmission, and continuous transformation.
Within the broader body of Mark Griffin’s teachings, Centrifugal Dispersion stands as an important articulation of tantric awakening as a fast path. It shows how transmission, breath, grace, and subtle-body architecture work together to dissolve obstacles at every level of being, allowing the practitioner to move more quickly toward direct realization. The teaching is both technical and devotional, wrathful and luminous, emphasizing that the same force which disperses limitation also reveals the Self as already divine.
