IN THIS TEACHING

In Eternity, Mark Griffin explores the profound relationship between time, breath, karma, and the unfolding of consciousness within the vast framework of the Wheel of Time (Kalachakra). Drawing from Yoga Tantra and Vajrayana principles, the teaching presents eternity not as an abstract concept but as a lived reality encountered through sustained sadhana, Shaktipat, and deep states of Samadhi. Griffin emphasizes that the mechanics of spiritual evolution are governed by the movement of prana and breath, which cyclically create and dissolve experience moment by moment, mirroring the larger cycles of creation and dissolution within the universe.

The discourse highlights the aggressive tempo of awakening once Kundalini is kindled, describing the gradual infusion of life force into the central channel (sushumna) and the purification of karmic imprints stored across the physical, subtle, and causal bodies. Through practices such as pranayama, pratyahara, guru yoga, and meditation on the breath (soham), the practitioner learns to still the mind, enter Samadhi, and increasingly sustain contact with the ocean of consciousness while remaining embodied. Griffin frames spiritual life as a surrender of personal identity to the deeper truth of consciousness, where repeated immersion in Samadhi dissolves karma and empties the individual into a vessel of pure awareness.

At its core, the teaching confronts the existential implications of eternity—suffering, loneliness, identity, and continuity across lifetimes—while affirming that liberation arises through disciplined transformation, character, and acceptance of cause and effect. The Wheel of Time is ultimately internal as much as cosmic, turning with each breath, and the path of awakening becomes the process of distilling one’s entire being into pure consciousness, transcending karmic conditioning and aligning with the timeless continuum of existence.
